Meridian Therapy

In my office I use Meridian Therapy to restore balance in the body’s bio-electrical system.  Over 3000 years ago the Chinese discovered that there are reflex points on the surface of the body called acupuncture points that are related to and effect the internal bodily functions. These points are also connected by channels, or “meridians”, that form a network throughout out the body. This is the body’s nervous system.

Circulating electrical nerve impulses calledQi (“Chee”) flow through these meridian networks at a proper strength and balance  to keep the body healthy. When these electrical nerve impulses become either too weak, too strong, or it becomes blocked, illness or disease can  arise.

Meridian therapy uses the same points as in acupuncture to restore to restore the free flow of energy and restore health. It is like needle free acupuncture. Instead of needles  I use cold laser, micro-current electrical stimulation or acupressure to correct imbalances in the twelve acupuncture meridians that run throughout the body.

Any interference or blockage of  the meridians can cause a breakdown of health leading to many symptoms and conditions.  Stimulation of one or a combination of key “Acupoints” on the body can remove blockages and restore health to the affected area. Meridian Therapy improves circulation, regulates hormones, reduces stress, and increases energy.

There are 12 Main Meridians in the body,  plus numerous minor ones. These Meridians form a network of energy channels throughout the body. Each Meridian is named after the organ or function to which it relates. The main Meridians are: lung, kidney, gallbladder, stomach, spleen, heart, small intestine, large intestine, urinary bladder, triple heater and pericardium.

In my office I use the Acugraph to measure the energy of the 12 acupuncture meridians. The Acugraph provides an objective assessment of the energy running throughout the body.  Once the blockages and interferences are found, cold laser or micro current stimulation is used to correct any imbalances found by the Acugraph without the pain and discomfort of needles.  Meridian therapy is great, if you are afraid of needles. I have helped many patients in Novato and Marin and Sonoma counties.
